Stathis Mourdoukoutas (Greece, 1978) is a film director and cinematographer based in Athens. He studied multimedia, but very soon his passion for high aesthetic image stole his heart and he studied film at NYFA. As a director he has created numerous advertisements and music videos. From 2010 to 2016 he has been a member of the management team "the cOre" and has served as "CEO" of Filmiki Productions, one of the most prominent production companies in Greece.
Due to his experience as an editor, he is obsessed with quick editing style. Especially in the case of music videos, he prefers to capture, at first, a series of brief, disparate bursts of surreal moments that he then develops and weaves into an imaginative narrative (a narrative that works on a different, more abstract level, but that retains a meaning directly associated with the lyrics, deeper meaning or emotions of each song).
